Preparing your home the day before treatment

Remove aerosols, candles, medication, electronics, plants and delicate plastics. Clothing, bedding and furniture stay in place.

Preparation for a heat treatment is much lighter than most people expect. The key rule: anything that can melt, warp, degrade or explode needs to come out — everything else stays.

Take out: aerosols, candles, wax items, medication, batteries, sensitive electronics, live plants, chocolate, vinyl records, and delicate plastics.

Leave in place: clothing, bedding, mattresses, sofas, wooden and upholstered furniture, books, and shoes. Treating them in-situ is exactly the point — heat penetrates everything.
